A Different Perspective: Reframing Therapy
Molly’s practice as a mental health worker stems from lived experience as an individual who has lived through two episodes of Bipolar-psychosis. Molly belives in the consumer-survivor mentalily centering mad-pride pedogy, and mental health empowerment at the core of her work. Molly uses small aspects of peer-support to offer insight into a holistic approach in mental health recovery.

Molly's lived-experience in combination with 15 years of frontline and art-based work ensures that in session the indiviudal's challenges are held, articulated and moved through with understanding and care.

The combination of Social Work methodolgies (stregths and narrative-based perspective) and tools for creative expression (drawing, painting, writing, storytelling and puppetry)  work to help create tools for deeper sense of self compassion. Molly works from the perspective that we can all heal.

Tea and Art
I work with a community - based Herbalist. Together we design hand crafted herbal tea blends to support with anxiety, depression, psychosis-recovery and side effects of medications. The tea is flavoured with local honey or maple syrup and is designed to help sooth the nervous system and give us energy.

I work with many different artisitic mediums and design theraputic art-based activities to support each session. We will play with materials such as water-colour, pastels, crayons ect. as well as combining creative writing, poetry, puppetry and story telling.

My studio is deisgned for nervous system relaxation and has a big comfy couch :)

Contact me for discovery call for either in person, phone or zoom and we can connect.

"Together we build the tools for recovery. We work from a place of knowing that we can all heal" (2023)

“I believe that our illness is more than a weakness, I mean it has to be. I believe that our mental health has the ability to become our super power. For example, a person living with mental illness has a truly rare and beautiful sense of compassion which I have seen time and time again activated to support other individuals. Our ability to feel deeply is our gift in a world that has gone numb” (2016)
